So, can you tell we had a lot more time to update these before Indigo was born?

We are so happy to find a moment to update you all. We know it isn’t the same as being able to see you in person, but we are glad to connect through written words and photographs. We hope that this season will be bright and cheery with lots of laughter and love for all of us. This lovely little blog update is our “holiday card” this year, and we hope it brings a little warmth your way.

This Fall we had some wonderful family photos taken by a talented local photographer, Mary Young. She was able to capture the wonder of Indigo’s little 5 month old spirit, and followed our adventurous side as we trekked about in the forest and gracefully (hahahaha…) crossed a river!

As we prepare for Christmas and the New Year 2022, we look back at what an incredible journey this has been with our amazing daughter, and the wonderful bunch of people that make up our support system; our beautiful friends and family (and even some pretty cool strangers along the way).

Indigo is learning how to crawl (scooting across the floor, giggling, and face planting), getting curious about solid foods (mmmm pumpkin) and is in her fifth leap at this moment (from the Wonder Weeks book). She is learning about relationships and realizing how far or close things are in relation to herself and other objects. She has lots to say, and is wow-ing Mom and Dad on the daily. One of our favorite things is to watch her as she examines her hands very diligently and with such care. She often looks like an elderly woman pondering life.

We wish you all a beautiful, warm, and merry Holiday season! Stay safe out there and let’s hope for a White Christmas (some may have already gotten snow!). We love you. ♡

** Some have asked us what they can get for little miss Indigo for Christmas: If you would like to get Indigo a gift, but aren’t sure what she needs, we could always use help funding her upcoming milestone needs by donating on PayPal - We typically find ourselves not knowing what we need until we are experiencing it in the moment! Ah, the joys of parenthood.

Love,
